Hallmarking

It’s really important to me that your pieces last a lifetime, and this is one of the reasons that hallmarking is so important to me. It guarentees that the metal you are buying, is what I say it is (and what I’ve been told it is, too)!

The majortity of my pieces are tested and hallmarked at the London Assay Office, even if below the required weight. Please check the “Materials” section on each product description to confirm what to expect for each piece. It goes without saying that anything legally requiring a hallmark, has one. This is to provide you with assurance that the metal you’re buying is as advertised, and it has my pretty little makers mark on there too…

This means if you return a piece to me for polishing, resizing, or remodelling – I know what it is, and where it’s come from. It also helps you in the future, if you or a loved one wants to have it remodelled, a reputable jeweller and casting company will want pieces to be hallmarked or tested to be sure of the metal being used.

Below is my dealers notice which tells you more about the meanings of the marks on the metal – just be aware that you won’t always be able to see them with the naked eye as they can be teeny tiny!
